Legal Fees

Legal advisory costs help prevent legal errors and mitigate litigation risks, which can be particularly significant when a client operates in the complex field of international law, collaborating with business partners from different cultural backgrounds.

During contract negotiations or when the first difficulties in execution arise, it is crucial to promptly seek assistance from a specialized legal advisor. This ensures legal uncertainties are clarified and a strategy for amicable dispute resolution is implemented.

Unlike other European Union member states, French law does not provide for a standardized fee scale for attorneys. Fees are determined individually in agreement with the client, based on several objective criteria, including:

  • The nature and complexity of the case
  • The time required to handle the matter
  • The reputation, professional experience, and specialization of the attorney involved
  • Operational costs and expenses
  • The client’s financial situation
  • The results achieved

The culture of transparency is one of the core values of our law firm. Before initiating any collaboration, we provide the client with a draft agreement that clearly defines the terms of remuneration for our services.

We offer our clients the possibility to choose from several billing methods, tailored to the specific nature of their case:

Time-bases fee

The collaboration follows an hourly rate, established at the beginning.

The final fee is calculated by the attorney at the conclusion of the case, based on the time spent handling the matter.

Flat fee

The collaboration is based on a one-time payment agreed upon in advance for a specific service. Any services exceeding the initial scope defined in the agreement are subject to a new, separately determined fee.

Successe-bases fee

The collaboration may include a base fee (either flat or hourly), supplemented by an additional payment linked to the outcome achieved. However, it is important to note that, under French law, an attorney’s fee cannot be determined solely based on the result of the case.

Subscription-bases fee

For clients requiring ongoing and regular legal assistance, a subscription-based fee arrangement can be established for the provision of legal services over a fixed or flexible period, tailored to the client’s needs.
